A conversation is composed of two aspects: listening and talking.

Most of us do really well at the talking part, it’s the listening part that can throw us for a loop. By not listening, we can get ourselves in trouble!

Have you ever found yourself:

• distracted when someone is talking to you
• thinking how to respond to the person before they have finished talking
• projecting ahead what the person will say before they have a chance to answer

If we find it difficult to actively listen to humans, think how much more taxing it can be to listen to animals!

It is vital when we Talk2theAnimals that we practice and polish our listening skills.,,,,,that we know when NOT to talk…….that we have the skill and patience to sit in silence when needed.

Have you ever…..

• had the feeling you know exactly what your dog wants when she looks at you with those big puppy dog eyes?
• had the image of an empty water bowl and walked into the kitchen to find the bowl empty?
• experienced a stiffness in your hip and gone to the barn to find your horse gimpy?
• had your indoor cat escape outside and you just knew she was hiding under your neighbor’s deck?
• heard a little voice telling you your dog will not wear the new dog coat you just invested in and when you bring it home he won’t even sniff it?
• had the sudden knowing the reason your dog leaves the room when your uncle comes to visit is because your dog doesn’t like your uncle?

My question for you: were the animals communicating with you, or was it just your imagination that happened, or was it a coincidence?

Would it be so hard to believe the animals were communicating with you? That you were receiving their communications?

Because that’s exactly what happened.

• My pet recently died, yet there are times when I think she’s still around.  I must be going crazy…
• Do you have to see the animal to talk with her?
• My friends didn’t believe me when I told them my dog reminds me when it’s time to take a break from the computer.  I guess I’m just being silly thinking he’s telling me that, haha.

Talk2theAnimals Teleconference is such a solemn name.  It portends official business, not fun in learning.    So, welcome to Wisdom Behind the Wisdom Forum.  Doesn’t that make sense?  We’re asking the animals to share their wisdom.  No matter the name, it is being held on Wednesday, February 4, 7:00  – 8:00 PM CST.

This forum is structured through Q&A.  You ask the questions, I answer, and as time permits we have discussions. Wisdom Behind the Whiskers is FREE,  your only charge is the cost of the call!

This is the third and final review of the recent Talk2theAnimals TeleConference.  I invite you to go back and read Part I and Part II.   All the questions were fantastic – I’m so glad that people are asking questions about animal communication!

Q:  Can you talk to any animal?

A: Yes, as long as that animal wants and is willing to talk.

Q:  Practice tips to improve accuracy/setting the intent.

A: Setting the intent means setting the stage for a desired outcome.  When working with other sentient beings, my job is not to set their stage, in other words to say what I want the desired outcome to be, but to set the stage so that they feel comfortable expressing what they need to say, how they need to say it and in the time they need to say it.  Therefore, my intent is: “What is needed for the best good of all at this time come through.”

It is important as animal communicators that we receive information as clearly as we can.  It is also important we don’t get caught up in the numbers game of “accurate hits” as this can potentially take the focus away from the animals and bring it on ourselves.  That can be a fine line to walk!

From my perspective, any time, every time, all the time we are in connection with animals, intuitively or not, we are improving our accuracy.  And that is because we are unconsciously connecting our vibrational level with theirs.  Even when we are reading about animals, or looking at pictures of animals or talking to other animal lovers we are fine-tuning our vibrational levels to be more in sync with them.  This fine-tuning recalibrates our system from one of “doing” to one of “being.”

Q: How do I know the information I get is for real and I’m not making it up?

A: Excellent question, one we all have from time to time.  Trust, trust, trust that what you are receiving is what needs to be said and heard at that time!  Think of it this way:  of all the kazillion and seven bits of information that could come to you, why did that particular one come at that particular time?

Q:  Being involved with the on-line communication group and reading over everyone’s conversations with the animals, the answers for the same question are vastly different.  Can you address why this is?  Is it the skill of each person, how the animal feels like answering etc.?

A: Here’s a post that will answer that question:  Animal Communication 101.

Q:  Please, tell us how you began to accept your ability to talk to the animals?  Do you recall doing it without thinking about it as a child?

A: I began to accept my ability to Talk2theAnimals as an adult when it become much more uncomfortable to continue to ignore it than to accept this natural state of being!  Like millions of others have experienced, this was not encouraged as a child:  “What will the neighbors think?  You’re just imagining it.  Animals don’t talk.  Be real.”

We had so many questions for the TeleConference we couldn’t get them all covered!  Yesterday’s post had some of the Q&A listed, today we’ll cover some more questions, and there will be one more post coming up with even more questions!

But first, I’m very excited to share with you a new development for the Talk2theAnimals TeleConference.  Beginning in February, the TeleConference will be recorded.  This recording will be free to those who participate in the TeleConference and will be available for others to purchase at the soon-to-be-up-and-running Talk2theAnimals Store.  Stay tuned for more information on this.  To make sure the latest Talk2theAnimals information comes to you, subscribe through FeedBurner or sign up for the Talk2theAnimals Newsletter.

Now: more questions that were submitted for the TeleConference.

Q:  Is there is one type of animal easier for you to communicate with?

A: No, as long as the animal is willing and open to talk, I am able to talk with them.  I also talk with deceased animals.

Q:   Does reception improvement come with practice?  Does your type of reception change with practice?  My reception is thoughts and I would like to also “hear and see.”

A: Yes, just like anything else, practice and training hone and fine tune reception.  My mode of reception has not changed, but it varies as to how I receive the information.  I hear the information, see pictures and get feelings.  Sometimes the information comes through in different combinations, sometimes the information comes through only one channel, perhaps feelings.

Perhaps next time you Talk2theAnimals, ask for their help in receiving the information via hearing and seeing.  Keep us posted on what happens!

Q:  Are animal communicators naturally gifted?

A: We all have the ability to Talk2theAnimals.  Animal communicators have chosen to hone that ability.  For more information, click here.

Q:  After talking with an animal in a consultation, do they sometimes come back and talk with you of their own volition?

A: That seldom happens because of the boundaries I choose to apply.  However, even with boundaries, it does occasionally happen and it’s very disconcerting to me when it does occur!  For instance, one time I was driving down the highway and one of the horses I have worked with popped into my head and started telling me what I should do about a certain situation!  Needless to say, he’s the head horse in his herd.

Q:  Do you talk with animals when they’re sleeping?

A: I do not Talk2theAnimals when they are sleeping, as I want to honor their need to recharge their battery and to honor them as sentient beings.  As a matter of fact, one of the questions I ask the animals is if it’s a good time for them to talk.  At various times I have been told it’s not a good time to talk.  Usually when that happens, they invite me to check in later with them.
