Animal Communication from Sea Otter

by admin on October 2, 2008

Yesterday’s Animal of the Day Twitteresque featured Neotropical River Otter.  After posting it, I realized I had a communication with Sea Otter from 2005.  I’d like to share that with you:

Sea Otter comes forward:

JR: Sea Otter, what do yo have to say to us humans about listening to the wisdom of the animals?

Animals are very wise,  but our wisdom has been shut out by humans.

You have, at best, chosen to ignore us, at worst, abused and killed us from your own selfish motives and for your own selfish purposes.

Humans have striven to have power over the animal kingdom, but that will not work. It is a life that is destined to failure, because it is not part of the Circle of Life.

Humans have been killing life.  There can be no life without us animals.  In killing us, you are killing yourselves, yet you are too short sighted to realize this.

We animals mourn the disregard humans have for Life.  We have lessons to teach, they are ignored.  We are saddened and angered over your casual disregard for Life, and your disrespect for anything that is not human.

JR: Sea Otter, there are many of us that are trying to change that.  How do you recommend we begin the change?

More and more of you need to become aware of the Circle of Life and begin to participate in the Circle.

Spread your awareness out to everything and everyone:  not just what you can take in by your senses, or can be measured and observed and proven.

Trust what is not there – that’s where the Circle of Life lives – in the mists, in the shadows, in the depths.

When you connect with an animal on the other side of the planet, that is becoming aware of the Circle of Life.  When you connect with a virus that you can only observe through a microscope, that is becoming aware of the Circle of Life.

When you connect with a different creature, it is always done out of love and compassion.  Even though it is different from you, in the Circle of Life you respect and admire that difference.  Because it is the differences that complete the Circle of Life.

Respect all creatures for who they are.  then the Circle of Life will be complete and joy will prevail.

Connect with joy in your heart, joy in the beauty of all creation.

Take time away from your concrete and cement, your traffic jams, your rushing, your scheduled schedules.  Where is the joy in that?  When’s the last time you saw a sea otter check her schedule to see what to do next?

Do you see how ridiculous that is?

Spend a day away from other humans.   Go to the sea and watch us sea otters play.  We will teach you how to fill your lives with joy.

Until humans find joy, the Circle of Life can’t be completed.

Our lives are in your hands, our destiny is in your lands!  Look beyond yourselves for joy!

JR: Thank you Sea Otter.  Anything else?

Where’s the joy in your life?  Find joy, and you will be surprised at how much more complete you feel.

Thank you Sea Otter.

Harmony,

Janet Roper
