As you have been reading, the last weekend in October I attended the First Women Foundation Retreat, held at the Maplelag Resort in Callaway, MN.
I’m aware that once you’ve seen the pictures, you’ll be thinking I went there for fun. Nope, I was invited there to be a guest speaker and spread the word on animal communication.

My talk, entitled ‘We All Do Better When All Creatures Do Better‘ took place before lunch on Saturday morning. I had no idea how many people to expect for the talk, and was very pleasantly pleased to see the room was filled.
Since you may not have been able to attend, I’d like to share some points from the presentation.
Animal Communication is about power with, not power over. My horse Shiloh taught me that having an agenda in animal communication does not create relationship, but division.
Animal Communication builds relationship not only with the animals, but invites you to know yourself better. The more I communicate with animals, the more I learn that it is necessary to clear out my own ‘baggage’ so it doesn’t contaminate the work I do with them.

I was thrilled that people were asking questions about animal communication; not just one or two questions, but many, many questions.
The animals were thrilled too. Buffalo, Jaguar and Elephant added their energy to the presentation. As I was talking and answering questions, it became clear to me that Elephant had something she wanted to share with the group.

Elephant was old, thin, tired and worn. She said the elephants have been trying to help humans, but the humans haven’t been listening. Their message was for humans to learn to work together, to be together, to be in community with each other. Just because humans are human doesn’t mean they are better than other creatures, just different. The elephants were tired of their message falling on deaf ears, and asked the women in the room to help in passing along the message. After the message was given, the elephant left the room. I believe the women were honored to hear Elephant’s communication and welcomed the opportunity to pass on her teaching.
The presentation, from my perspective, ended all too quickly. More information could be given, more information could be acquired. However, lunch called, and we were hungry!

Hi Janet…thanks for stopping by EquineMine. I see you are close to me, just over in Sherwood. I have horse friends at Sherwood Forest. Nice to meet you. I see you just got back from MN…my home state..looks like you enjoyed your time there. I will have to look up where Callaway is…must be way up North???.
Welcome to the site! Glad you stopped by & left a comment.
Actually, I’m not in Sherwood, but I live in MN. Callaway is just the MN side of Fargo, and you’re right, I had so much fun up there. Can’t wait to go back!
Harmony,
Janet
