Circle of 6 Auction: Meet Janet

by admin on March 5, 2008

roper_1052web.jpgHello there. I realize you don’t know me from Eve, so let me introduce myself. My name is Janet Roper, and as you can see from the picture, I love to horse around and to fiddle around. That is, I’m an animal communicator and a musician. Since I’m asking you to participate in the Circle of 6 Auction, I thought it only fair I gave you a chance to meet me and get to know who I am. So, to find out about my horsin’ around as an animal communicator click here; to find out about my fiddlin’ around as a musician, click here, and if you would like to hear me fiddle around on my 217 year old violin, Lucy, click here. If you don’t feel like clicking, continue reading.

I’m a midwesterner at heart ~ born and raised in Illinois and now living in Minnesota. After I graduated from college, I did a three year stint in Cut Off, Louisiana as a violin and orchestra teacher. That’s south of New Orleans and about one hour north of the Gulf of Mexico. After leaving Louisiana, I returned to Illinois.

My family is four legged ~ three cats, Billy, Mitzie and Raven, two dogs, Emmie and Teddy, and one very special horse, Shiloh, keep me tuned in to the joys of life.

My degree is in music education, and I’ve done work on my Master’s Degree in Viola Performance. I trained for years as a spiritual director before deciding to use those skills and specialize as an animal communicator.

In my work as an animal communicator, I have been published in Angel Horses: Messengers of Divine Hope, appeared on the Jill Spiegel Radio Show 107.1 FM, been written up in local newspapers, and appeared at the 2007 American Music Awards Celebrity Gift Mart.

From to the tip of my toes, to the tip of my nose, to the depth of my soul I believe ‘We All Do Better When All Creatures Do Better’. This statement has led me to help others whenever and however I can: from social work done through a church, volunteer work as a spiritual director for a woman’s group, collecting and dispersing books for kids, and raising money for humane societies.

And now I really want to raise money to benefit the Buffalo site of the Animal Humane Society through the Circle of 6 Auction. $60,000 or more ~ with your help this is entirely possible!
