Welcome to Talk2theAnimals Animal Communication Practice Friday, a place to make interspecies friends while practicing your animal communication skills!
Before we get started, I have some questions for you:
- How is it going for you? What are you discovering about your intuitive skills during this process?
- Are you finding any commonalities about how you receive the information from different animals?
- What is your strongest point when you Talk2theAnimals?
- Are you discovering anything about yourself as you Talk2theAnimals?
- Are you having fun? I hope so!
If you’re a first time visitor, click here to see what we’ve been doing in the past, and click here for some instructions on communicating with animals.
Today we’re talking with humanity’s best friend, Dog. If you have a dog of your own, you may want to check in with her/him and have a conversation. Remember to ask Dog if it’s OK to have a conversation, then thank Dog when you’re finished. Be open to going with the flow in the conversation, just as you would with a person. These questions are guidelines only, and Dog may have something to share with you that’s not within the confines of the questions.
Questions for Dog:
- How did dogs get the reputation for being humanity’s best friend?
- The culture of dogs in the US has changed immensely in the past years – going from animals in the back yard to living the quality life of organic foods, having pet insurance, being dressed up and being carried around in pooch purses. What are your thoughts about that?
- What do dogs reflect back to humans about ourselves?
- What’s a good day like for you?
- Anything else you’d like to say?
Tell Dog thanks after you have finished your conversation. Remember to leave your comments here on the blog and to share what it was like for you to talk with humanity’s best friend!
Harmony,
Janet Roper

Hi,
This is my first tme to your site and my first time blogging. Tag, my pit bull terrier, and I are having some communication problems. He has decided it is ok to use the house, any where in the house, my new furniture included, as his personal toilet. I don’t know what to do. He does this even when I’m in the other room opening the back door for him and my other dog Max to go outside.
HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to let a friend’s mini schnauzer out in the yard this afternoon, so I practiced on him. He was happy to be outside, especially on such a nice day as today. He thanked me for coming to let him out for a run in the yard. And he liked having all of my attention (yesterday I was there and his 2 ‘cousins’ were there, too). He was a bit distracted with the smells, sights and sounds so that’s about all I got from him.
Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Good for connecting with the mini schnauzer. Just like humans, when their mind is on something else and they’re distracted, it is difficult to talk with them. Keep it up!

Hi Debbie,
I hear your frustration. First thing, check with your vet to make sure there are no medical issues which would be causing this. For your own peace of mind, I invite you to connect with your vet sooner rather than later. Let me know how it goes, we can proceed from there.
Harmony,
Janet
