Maybe it’s a coincidence the Talk2theAnimals Animal of the Week is Pike. After all, Minnesota’s Fishing Opener was this past weekend. But, there are no such things as coincidences, are there?
Pike brings greetings and asks us to go into the depths of ourselves and rid out the flotsam and jetsam of our lives. Pike says:
“Humans don’t know how to live with only what is necessary for their well being. They bring on too much, too many articles, which weighs them down. Humans ignore, yes, they ignore, that all is provided for them.
“Humans are a weak species. They live in their own world with no regard to anything or anyone else. When will humans learn we all live together?
“Humans may look at me as a bully. I am not. I only take what is needed for survival and sustenance. Humans take more than what is needed because they allow themselves to do so, they think it is OK. It is not.
“I am a powerful fish. I put up a fight when needed, I know when to stay quiet and observe when needed. Humans have lost out on the ‘quiet’ part of life. It is to their benefit to remember how to partake of the quiet.
“When humans catch me, they think they have won the fair fight. But they have not. Few things are fair when it comes to humans taking what they think is rightfully theirs. Even when it is the life of another creature.
“I ask humans to re-examine their lives, their sense of entitlement. It is a fantasy world they live in, a dark, murky, fantasy.”
So says Pike.
Thank you Pike, for expressing your thoughts today. May humans learn from your wisdom.
Harmony,
Janet Roper
