Eastern Chipmunk

  • Their cheeks have pouches, which are used to transport food. When filled, pouches can become as big as their head
  • They are able to climb trees
  • Their nests are underground and have widespread tunnels with many entrances.

I love my chipmunks!! This year I had 6!! My sweet Chalupa (my little angel chihuahua) who passed away in June of 2oo9 sent one out for me today because I needed a “big” sign of his presence still here with me!! It really made my day! By the way … I live in Northeast PA and it was snowing out! I NEVER saw the chipmunks in the winter before!!

Blessings … Tina

Hi Tina,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment! Are you aware the number 6 stands for harmony and compassion?

It sounds like you had a great day with the help of Chalupa. Thanks for sharing, may you have many more!
Harmony,
Janet
