This past month we have been communicating with wildlife through the beautiful photography of Fertile Mind Foto, hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota. We’re going to change the pace a little for this week’s practice session. The animals were photographed by Fertile Mind Foto, but while some people might consider them wild, they are actually domesticated. We will be talking to indoor wildlife, housecats.
Here’s the procedure to Talk2theAnimals:
- Go to a peaceful place where you won’t be disrupted.
- Bring along your animal communication journal and pen/pencil read.
- Create a quiet environment – no cell phones, ringers, radios, etc.
- Create your Circle of Listening.
- Introduce yourself to the cats, asking if it is a convenient time to talk with them.
- If the cats (or cat) say OK, begin the conversation; if he or she says no or doesn’t connect with you, that’s OK. Sit in cordial silence with the spirit of the cat.
- Proceed with the conversation.
- Thank the cats when the conversation is completed.
- Make notations in your journal for future reference.
Before there have been suggested questions for the animals. Today, ask your own questions, have your own conversation. What do the cats (or cat) want to tell you? What do you want to know from the cat(s)? What wisdom is waiting to be shared with you?
When you have finished the conversation, record what it was like for you in your journal. Was it easy to talk to the cat(s) without given guidelines? How did the cats respond? Did you find the conversation to be more free-flowing since the conversation was directly between you and the cat(s)? How did you take the information in? What feelings did the conversation bring up in you?
