I haven’t read this book yet, but it’s on my to-read-soon-list.

Psychology professor, dog lover and author Alexandra Horowitz conducted an eight year study and discovered our dogs know us much better than we know them.

This book is not intended to be a scientific study, but rather she invites readers to imagine what life is like when your nose is 18 inches from the ground, what it’s like to be able to smell a spoonful of sugar dissolved in two Olympic pools worth of water…what it’s like to be so observant of their human’s actions they know what the human’s next step will be.

I am looking forward to reading this book, seeing how, or if, it correlates with animal communication.

Purchase this book by clicking on the book or the link, and discover for yourself what life is like for your beloved dog companion.

It doesn’t have to be like that. Our pets give us unconditional love and it can be more difficult grieving the loss of a pet than it is grieving the loss of a beloved human. It is OK to grieve the death of your pet in your own way.

Talk2theAnimals offers a Wisdom Behind the Whiskers Forum entitled “Grieving the Loss of Your Pet”. This TeleConference helps people begin to fathom and navigate their emotions around the loss of their beloved buddy. The next one is scheduled for Thursday, March 11, 7:00 PM CST.

In this TeleConference you will learn:

The different stages of grief

Ways to begin accepting what you’re experiencing

How to help other pets in the household with the loss of their buddy

If you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a pet, or is preparing to travel that road, you will find this TeleConference beneficial and helpful. Participants receive a free MP3 download of the teleconference, allowing you to hear again and again ways to honor and remember your beloved pet, as well as ways to observe your own grief and begin your own healing and integration. If you can’t attend this TeleConference, you can still register and you will receive the free MP3 download. Simply visit Talk2theAnimals and select March 11 from the drop down menu. You do not need to ask a question to participate, but you do need to fill in that field. You can simply say ‘no question’.

I look forward to connecting with you at this Grieving the Loss of Your Pet Forum.

Do you think you’ve been holed up too long and it’s time to come out and get a breath of fresh air?

Mole is just the helper you’re looking for.

Mole is another animal that reminds us to trust our senses: trust what we perceive, not what someone else tells us to perceive, or not even someone else’s experiences. With their small or covered eyes, Mole is virtually blind. This reminds us to trust what we feel, as we may be blinded to what is around us visually.

Mole depends on physical touch for information. Do you need to get your hands around something tactile? Do you need to dig out of a circumstance or situation? It’s when we begin digging we find our treasures.

Questions to ask Mole:

Is this a time to unearth information about myself, a time to get to know myself on a deeper level?

Am I feeling spacey?

Am I ignoring my intuition?

Thank you Mole, for coming forward and helping us this week. We are grateful for you skills and knowledge you so generously share with us. For this we are grateful.

One thing that often happens as we learn to Talk2theAnimals is we become determined, single minded and purpose driven in our quest to Talk2theAnimals. Nothing is going to stand in our way, we will accomplish this goal no matter what. We try so very hard, find it’s not working like we thought it would, so we try harder and harder and harder.

To no avail. We discover the harder we try the less we are able to connect with the animal. The less we are able to connect with the animal, the harder we try to connect with the animal.

It becomes a vicious circle, and it is easy to end up discouraged and dispirited, maybe even giving up on animal communication and learning how to do it.

When we discover ourselves in the midst of this Catch-22, the thing to do is step back. Stop. Take a breath. Release.

Release the determination, the wanting to control.

One way to do this is to visualize a balloon. Blow your frustrations into that balloon, tie it up and release it. If you need a balloon bouquet to do this, that’s OK. Keep filling up those balloons with the frustration and discouragement until you feel it dissipate. Release the balloons.

Once you feel the frustration gone, return to the conversation in the more relaxed mood.

Are you finding it easier to Talk2theAnimals without the frustration?

Of course! Remember: U2CanTalk2theAnimals!

One of the questions I frequently receive from both clients and students is ‘How do you know the information you receive from the animal is for real, and is really from the animal?’.

Good question, because what they’re really asking has to do with trusting the information I receive.

Here are some indicators I use to make sure the information is ‘for real and is really from the animal’.

Physical indications: If I experience a physical or emotional feeling that I did not have before I talked with the animal, it is most probable the animal communicating to me through physical sensations.

Tune into surroundings: When I Talk2theAnimals, I am not only tuned into what the animal is saying, but what they are projecting to me regarding their surroundings. Am I hearing traffic sounds? Am I seeing an indoor or outdoor scene?

Confirmation from humans: When I Talk2theAnimals, it is most often a 3 way conversation between the pet, the person and myself. I am translating what the animal conveys to me in a language the human understands. People confirm the information I tell them.

Which brings up the issue of trust. My bottom line as an animal communicator, is that I trust, trust, trust! whatever I receive is what needed to be both heard and said at that moment in time. After all, of all the ka-zillion bits of information that could have come forward, why did that piece of information come forth at that particular moment in time?

Animal Communication Tip 101: When you Talk2theAnimals, trust the information you receive is authentically from the animal – you can always ask for confirmation from the animal.

Remember: U2CanTalk2theAnimals!

Linda and Allen Anderson started the Angel Animals Network, a place to discover and benefit from the miraculous powers of animals. Their mission is to collect stories of animals and their people, which are told in the person’s own words. These stories are then turned into Angel Animal books, which can be purchased on their site, your local bookstore or Amazon.

They recently started the Angel Animals Network Club, a place to bring kindred spirits together and enjoy benefits of membership. There are different levels of benefits, and starting with the Gold Level one of the benefits is a FREE 10 minute animal communication session with Talk2theAnimals!

I am very excited and honored Talk2theAnimals is a part of this wonderful group. Linda and Allen are passionate animal supporters and reach thousands of people the world over through their books and appearances. I invite you to become a member of the Angel Animals Network Club at whatever level you feel comfortable!
