There’s An App For That: Puppy Bowl IX and Subaru

Max portraitThis is me. Do you know me? My name is IamMaxRoper, but you can call me Max. As you can see I’m a VERY handsome and VERY smart dog. *tail thump* I am also a VERY gnarly dude.

mama says there’s a Puppy Bowl IX that’s happening tomorrow! *running the Max 500*  I KNOW whenever there is a Bowl there is always food involved. *tail thump* But in my wildest puppy dreams, I never dreamed it would be like this!

Then mama explained it wasn’t what it liked look. The Puppy Bowl IX has puppies, hedgehogs and kitties. NOT bowls of food.

But mama said we can watch it on Sunday Feb 3 on Animal Planet airing at 3pm E/P time and she will give me a little bowl of treats as we watch. *tail thump*.

And to make it EVEN BETTER, mama told me that Subaru (that’s a car, not a treat) has a Puppy Bowl Co-viewing App. The Puppy Bowl Plus app has fun extra content to interact and engage with as we’re watching it live – exclusive Puppy Bowl and Subaru stuff that’s fun enough to keep your tail thumping! *tail thump*. Me and mama are going to download it on mama’s mobile, but mama said people can download it on their tablets, if they wish. The app will work live with Subaru’s fun engagement during the airing of the Puppy Bowl and during the re-air (check local listings). I think it’s a good idea to go ahead and download the app early so you’ll be allllllll ready to go at Puppy Bowl time and you won’t have to panic about not having enough time to settle in with your treats. mama says the app works on iOS and Android operating systems, whatever that means. *tail thump* And then mama said something about using hashtags #SubaruBP and #PuppyBowl, so you can share with friends. I’m pretty sure she said hashtags and not hashbrowns.

Each year Subaru of America celebrates the love between pet parents and their dogs with the Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™ campaign.  Grant Weber, who is a gnarly dude like me, is the Subaru Canine Sales Associate. He’s also VERY smart like me, having sold Subaru vehicles to ONLY dogs, cuz as we all know, there’s simply no better friend to man’s best friend. No matter size, breed, or temperament, he’ll find the right Subaru for your needs. So if you’re a dog, and you’re looking for a Subaru, head on down to see Grant Weber. You’ll leave with your tail held high. Tell him IamMaxRoper sent you. *tail thump*.

But as you know, if you get a new car, it’s got to have that GOOOOOOD dog smell. Personally, I agree with my friend Samson.

*Tail Thump*
This post is sponsored by Subaru. mama is being compensated for helping spread the word about the Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™ campaign, but both me and mama’s blog Talk2theAnimals only share news for things we support.  *tail thump*

Thanks for stopping by Digger & Wally. I was surprised you didn’t mention treats, are you not treat hounds?

  2. Tracie Nichols February 2, 2013 at 1:03 pm #

Max, I’m pretty sure mommy meant hashtags, not hashbrowns. (I’d rather have the hashbrowns, too.) Buy, hey, you’re getting to watch puppies and have treats! If I had a tail to thump, I would!

Have fun with the Puppy Bowl tomorrow!

Hi Tracie, Janet here, writing for Max. He’s busy chasing his buddy, my cat Raven. He is definitely looking forward to the Puppy Bowl tomorrow. It will be interesting watching him watch the PB!

Hey Laurie, thx for visiting and leaving your comment. Janet here, Max is now napping, I guess chasing his cat Raven wore him out. A SuBarOoOo-tiful thing indeed! Looking forward to it 😉 Ciao, or as it is in our household, Chow 😉

  5. Darlene Arden February 2, 2013 at 4:57 pm #

    Hi Max!

I’m definitely watching tomorrow! And aren’t you clever to write an entire blog post about that and Suburu?! Good for Suburu to think of dog owners like your mom!

    • Janet February 2, 2013 at 5:09 pm #

Thanks Darlene, I’ll pass this on to Max. I’m looking forward to watching the kitty halftime too 😉

What a wonderful and clever blog, Max. I will be watching the Puppy Bowl IX tomorrow. Good thing we have 2 TVs as the men folks in my house will be watching that other bowl. I am anxious to see it all the puppies and the kitties. Thanks for the treat suggestion–I will definitely have to make sure I have some all ready to go–for my three dogs and me.

    • Janet February 2, 2013 at 9:12 pm #

Max is snoozing, so this is Janet answering for him. Glad you stopped by and thinking ahead to those treats. I know that’s Max’s #1 priority in life 😉

  9. Kat the Dog & Emily February 2, 2013 at 9:33 pm #

Hi Max – Kat the Dog here – that Puppy Bowl thing and Subaru sounds like fun. Only my mom has an old Blackberry – I think I need her to upgrade! And I’ll be helping my young mistress Just Justine sell Girl Scout Cookies. I help to pull the sled with the boxes of cookies and keep all the squirrels and other dogs away. I’m going to keep this whole Subaru thing in mind though when it’s time for my “uprights” (that’s what I call things that walk on two legs instead of 4) have to get new wheels. Any company that thinks of dogs – they are one smart company.
    See you in Cyberspace!

Kat the Dog, this is Janet here. Max is curled up for the night. So sorry your post didn’t get approved earlier, there have been some glitches, think they are all fixed. Anyway, yes! That sounds like a good deal with you pulling the sled, it’s a very important job and a great help to Just Justine. Keep that Subaru in mind. Max will be writing another post on it soon!

Just found out a Maltese Poodle is in the puppy bowl this year. We’re definitely downloading the app and cheering for him!

    • Janet February 3, 2013 at 1:55 pm #

Yay! Let’s hear it for the Maltese Poodle! Thx for visiting and leaving your comment, Katie. I’ll pass it forward to Max 😉

  11. Ellie Walsh February 3, 2013 at 2:54 pm #

Always happy to see the puppies!! Thanks Max 😀

    • Janet February 3, 2013 at 2:56 pm #

Thx Ellie! I’ll pass this on to Max 😉
