Talk2theAnimals Animal Communication Practice Friday

by admin on June 12, 2009

So, how is it going with your animal communication practice sessions?  Before we get started talking to today’s animal, let’s take a moment to inventory the progress you’ve made:

  • Are you feeling more comfortable with the thought that interspecies communication is possible and that YOU are doing it?
  • In general, do you find you have an easier time connecting with the animals?
  • Are you finding the animals are communicating easier with you?
  • Do you find the way you’re picking up the conversations has changed?  In other words, if you were picking up information mostly by feelings before, have you found that has changed so you’re picking up some information by pictures or thoughts?

THERE ARE NO CORRECT OR INCORRECT ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS ABOVE.  THIS IS ABOUT OBSERVING AND BECOMING CONSCIOUS OF WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING.

If you’ve been keeping an animal communication journal, I invite you to revisit your first conversations with animals.  What differences do you notice between the way you are doing the communications now and when you first started?

Congratulate yourself on the progress you have made! Are you aware that most people aren’t even aware it is possible to communicate with animals?  The fact that you’re communicating with animals, no matter your experience, puts you in a category with only 10-15% of the people, if that many!  NOTE: Don’t quote me on the numbers, I don’t know that to be a fact, but I do know you are in the company of relatively few people!

If this is your first time at the Talk2theAnimals Animal Communication Practice Friday, you are indeed welcome here.  You will find more information about the process here, as well as other animals with which to practice.  When you begin to Talk2theAnimals, remember to:

  • Have your animal communication notebook handy along with a pen/pencil.
  • Go to a place where you will be undisturbed.
  • Quiet yourself.
  • Ask the animal’s permission.
  • Delve into the conversation.
  • TRUST, TRUST, TRUST what you receive.
  • Thank the animal when you are finished.
  • Take time to adjust being back in the “normal” world.

This entire month we are talking with Dog – human’s best friend.  Patrick Nau of Patrick Nau Photography has loaned us some of his dog portraits for our practice sessions this month.  Just for the record, Patrick is also known as the Minnesota Dog Guy!

You can use the following questions as guidelines or have your own conversation with Dog.

  1. What was it like for you to pose for the camera?
  2. Were you able to go play in the yard after you had your picture taken?
  3. What were you thinking of when this picture was taken?
  4. Do you have a favorite game?
  5. Anything else you’d like to say?

Take a few minutes to review the conversation.  What was it like for you?  What did you do in this conversation that felt natural, that allowed the conversation to flow?  It is always good to observe the conversation afterwards so we can learn more about our strengths.

I encourage you to leave comments about your experience here on the Talk2theAnimals Blog.  I’m a deep believer that whatever you have to say may be exactly  what another person needs to hear!

Janet Roper
